How long do you need to setup your equipment?
We ask for a minimum of an hour to set up and sound check, however depending on the venue we may need more time. The more information you can give us about the venue the better; especially for example if your event is in an upstairs room with a number of flights of stairs.
How long do you play for?
We usually recommend 2 x 1 hours sets or 3 x 45 mins but times can be altered to suite every function.
How much space does the band need to perform?
We aim to be as accommodating as possible but when arranging the layout of your room if you could try and leave us a minimum of 8 x 3 metres for our stage setup this will give us enough room for our equipment.
Do you provide your own sound and lighting equipment?
We provide everything we need including a professional PA system and lights. In addition all our equipment is PAT tested to ensure our equipment meets safety requirements.
Can we come and see the band before booking?
Many of Synergy’s performances are at weddings, private parties or corporate events so sometimes this isn’t always possible. We can’t promise but on special request we can ask our clients if it is possible for you to come along to see us. We would however recommend not to hold off booking the band as we do get booked up well in advance.
Do we need to provide anything for the band?
We provide everything for our show and we will work seamlessly with the venue staff to ensure your event runs smoothly. It is however a standard requirement for you to provide us with food/refreshments and a dressing room in order for us to keep out of the way of your guests and for us to store our stage costumes and empty boxes away from the stage area. In addition we will require a small amount of parking for our vehicle/s.
Our fee and deposit
Synergy charge a standard fee however depending on the location of your venue and the exact requirements of your event and the band lineup you choose can fluxuate the cost. Contact us to get an accurate quote for your occasion.
All of our bookings are contracted and we do ask for a deposit of 20% up front to secure your booking.
How do we pay the balance?
You can pay the balance of our fee a number of ways. Bank transfer and cheques are fine although we ask for this a week before the event. Also cash on the night is also fine. In addition we are happy for you to spread the cost of our fee a few installments should you wish.
What power do you require for your equipment?
All of our sound and lighting equipment runs off a standard 240v 13a power supply. We ask at a minimum you ensure we are able to use 2-3 power sockets ideally in close proximity to the stage area for the duration of the event.
Are you able to play special requests?
We are able to play special requests if there is enough time given before. On many occasions our wedding clients may ask us to play their first dance live. We are also able to arrange the original song for you should you prefer this.
Can you provide background music when the band isn’t performing?
Yes we are happy to provide you with background music and selection of party hits when we are not playing. If you wish you can provide us with the music you want on an mp3 player or iPod.
Are you able to provide live music for reception periods?
Yes, we are able to offer a selection of solo, duo and trio lineups for you through your reception periods. We are able to provide a selection of different instrument line-ups for this. Ask us for more information.
Are you Insured for Public Performance?
Yes we are. We hold £10million of Public Liability Cover.
